Give this girl a tent wedding on the water, and I’m happy as a clam. Add in a couple who so clearly adores each other and makes each other laughs, and I am head over heels! Christina and Sebastian were married at Christina’s parents’ home in Gloucester, MA which an outdoor reception at the Castle Manor Inn, and from start to finish the entire day was perfection.
As kids, my sisters and I grew up hearing the most wonderful stories about the cross-country road trip my parents took on their honeymoon in the ’80s. Every few years, we’d pile onto their bed and watch slideshows projected on the bedroom wall of the photos they took as they adventured through the country in the back of my dad’s old work van.
Sometimes you meet a couple and instantly notice how well they complement one another – and in this case, Ashley + Justin are 100% that couple. When I first met them to discuss coordinating their April wedding, I was instantly struck by how confident, cool, and collected Ashley was, and the way that Justin looked at her with so much love. I also noticed how comfortable Justin made Ashley feel, and how much he made her laugh.
If this Charleston wedding had a theme, it would surely be “love at first sight”. Not only did Chelsea and Paul fall head over heels for each other when they first met, they also chose their venue, Cannon Green, after simply seeing it via a Skype call with Paul‘s sister while she was there for an event. This Florida-based couple hopped on a flight to Charleston and instantly fell in love with the entire city. And I am so glad they did!
One of my personal New Year’s Resolutions for 2017 has been to make more time for the ones I love. Whether it’s my husband, family, friends, or just myself (can’t forget self-care!), I want to make sure I’m prioritizing relationships and being more present during our time together.
Many women spend their whole lives dreaming about their wedding dress: what it will look like, whether they’ll cry when they realize it’s “the one”, and what it will feel like to walk down the aisle in that dress towards the love of their life.
One of the top questions I’ve been getting from friends and clients alike is how to choose a wedding venue. It’s without a doubt one of the most exciting, yet most overwhelming parts of wedding planning! After all, your venue will set the stage for your entire wedding, and it’s so important that it’s a reflection of you. I totally get it – there are hundreds (thousands, even!) of venues available out there, so to help break it down for you, I’m sharing my top tips for choosing your perfect venue.
When Anthony found out that his job was sending him to Chicago last weekend, the decision as to whether or not I was going to join him was an easy one. We loved our first trip to Chicago a few years ago, and it was our anniversary weekend, after all!
You hear it all the time: marriage is hard work. Personally, any time I heard this in my first 26ish years of life, I wasn’t quite sure what people meant by that. I always wondered, but never asked – probably because I felt like it was supposed to be obvious. Don’t get me wrong, I completely understood that any relationship comes with its own unique set of challenges and compromises, but after living with Anthony for 2+ years before we got married, I couldn’t understand how marriage might change the dynamic we had already begun to establish.
My sweet friend Gabi and I have been having so much (maybe even too much) fun finding Any Excuse to Party each month (have you seen last month’s Popsicle Party?!), and for this month’s party we knew we wanted to feature one of our all-time favorite things: brunch. Maybe this makes us a little bit basic, but what’s not basic is the fun spin we put on this particular party theme. Introducing: Mini Brunch!
