January 11, 2017
One of my personal New Year’s Resolutions for 2017 has been to make more time for the ones I love. Whether it’s my husband, family, friends, or just myself (can’t forget self-care!), I want to make sure I’m prioritizing relationships and being more present during our time together.
With so many of those friends, loved ones, and clients smack dab in the middle of planning their own weddings, I’m reminded of how hard it was for me to make time for the important things while I was planning mine. It’s so easy to get caught up in the planning that you forget to actually enjoy it and your loved ones can be left feeling neglected. That’s why I’m thrilled to be teaming up with JORD watches to offer my top tips for making time for the ones you love while wedding planning.
1. Stay organized. This one is obviously helpful regardless of your reasons, but it’s especially important when you’re trying to keep your priorities straight. The more organized you are with wedding-related tasks, the more efficient you’ll be, and the more time you’ll have to spend with your fiancé, friends, or indulge in some good ol’ quality you-time. Not sure where to start? I’ve developed this FREE Wedding To-Do List Template to help you organize wedding-related tasks. Don’t forget – taking a bubble bath or curling up with a glass of wine counts as wedding related!
2. Prioritize your fiancé. While wedding planning, it’s can be tricky to separate time spent planning together from actual good, quality time with one another. Set aside at least one night each month to put away the vendor questionnaires and menu options to 100% enjoy each other’s company. Cook up your fiancé’s favorite dinner or bake their favorite dessert, light the candles, pour the wine, and talk about something, anything, other than weddings. Afterwards, you’ll both feel refreshed and ready to take on that to-do list together. Promise.
3. Gather your gal pals. Chances, are, your closest girlfriends are also your bridesmaids, so make sure you take time to separate the two roles. Sure, they want to help you with wedding planning, but they probably miss conversations with you that don’t involve color schemes or which shoes they should wear. Set aside some time to show your thanks with a Bridesmaid Brunch. Whip up some mimosas, place some fluffy flowers in a vase, and channel your inner Martha Stewart with your favorite breakfast foods. You’ll love reconnecting with your girls and they’ll be glad to have their non-bride friend back, at least for a little while.
4. Be selfish! There’s no doubt about it – wedding planning can be exhausting, and it can definitely take its toll on your well-being if you’re not careful. When the endless to-do lists and vendor phone calls are taking their toll, set aside at least an hour whenever you can to kick up your feet, crack open a good book, and treat yo’self to coffee, wine, or another favorite treat. When you take care of you, you’ll be ready to take on the planning!

Beware of buying a watch on Authenticwatches.com. They sell grey goods, the watchmakers warranty is void and the watchmaker can not assure you when buying from them that the watch is new or genuine. The website Authenticwatches.com while pretending to be owbn by Authenticwatches.com, Inc is actually owned by Tranik Enterprises, Inc. In 2005 They specifically filed to change their legal name from Authenticwatches.com, Inc to Tranik Enterprises, Inc.
Here is a question you need to ask yourself: What valid reason could a business have for changing their legal name to something entirely different and then continue to use their old business name, and not list their legal name anywhere on the website, documents, or anywhere, anyone can find it.
Before buying checkout and read the complaints on the better business bureau:
https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/moorpark/profile/jewelry-stores/authenticwatchescom-1236-92003976/complaints
Read about the guy who thought he was buying a new Rolex watch but it came missing all stickers and AW refused to take it back.
Here is AW’s response “Client claims to have received timepiece in a condition other than what was advertised. At no point in time was the timepiece advertised as "new" nor "brand new". At no point in time was the timepiece advertised to come with factory stickers.”
There are many more horror stories on the BBB and other site. Just spend a few minutes searching before you buy. Buyer beware!
