When Anthony found out that his job was sending him to Chicago last weekend, the decision as to whether or not I was going to join him was an easy one. We loved our first trip to Chicago a few years ago, and it was our anniversary weekend, after all!

A few months ago, my husband Anthony started a new job as an event coordinator for a company that plans conferences, which means that he’ll be traveling for work on a monthly basis. AKA the perfect opportunity for us to squeeze in some travel together! His first solo conference was this past weekend in Chapel Hill, NC, and I met him when he was done working for some good ol’ southern fun!

As much as I try to embrace the cooler weather each year, it always bums me out a little after a couple of weeks, and I find myself looking for ways to make the best of it. Well this year, my sister Julia came to the rescue when she recommended we take a spontaneous trip to Woodstock, VT.
